Whether you’re a video gamer, a video editor, a trader, or someone who just wants a good PC rig, a 6 monitor website is always ideal. It’s recommended for professional and for hobby use. It’s even recommended for professional traders as well. However, a lot of people have a few misconceptions about it.

Multi-screen setups are what they are named to be. These include 4 to 6 monitor setups. In these setups, multiple monitors are connected to one PC. They allow you to have a wider field of view as all of the monitors can show the work that you are doing at the same time. It’s a complex build but it’s easy to build.

For the most part, a 6 monitor setup is often seen as something that’s too excessive. However, it’s a rig that’s made and built solely for productivity and progress. A lot of people want to get one for themselves but at the end of the day, the misconception they have about multi screen setups suddenly scares them off.

If you want to have your own multi-screen setup but have preconceived notions of your own, then you’ve come to the right place. We’re going to be discussing those misconceptions and we’re debunking all of the myths as well. That way, you can buy without regrets and fully enjoy such a powerful rig.

It’s Very Expensive

One of the most common misconceptions is that a multi-screen setup is very expensive. For the most part, this is true. However, you’re not stuck behind having to burn a hole through your wallet just to get a good PC rig going for you with so many deals out there, you can have a 6 monitor setup without having to spend too much money.

As long as you know where to look and where to buy, you can greatly save up on your expenses for your multiscreen setup. One of the ways you can actually save on buying multiple screens is by timing your purchase during special events such as Black Friday. You can score deals on monitors of up to 50% at least.

Another way you can save is by looking for stores that offer deals on buying multiple screens. Believe it or not, a lot of stores actually do this. It helps them attract more customers who are getting multi-screen setups of their own. Make sure to check all the stores online and within your area for those amazing deals.

It’s Impractical

This is arguably the biggest misconception when it comes to having a 6 monitor setup. It’s not exactly practical. As long as you know what to do with such a setup, you can actually increase your productivity by a huge margin. There are lots of ways a multi screen setup can make you more productive.

If you’re a gamer, you can use a multi screen setup to do multiple things at once. For example, you can play on one screen and then manage a stream on the other. If you’re a video editor, you can edit multiple videos at once using a single screen which can make your job a whole lot easier as well.

Perhaps the most useful thing you can do with this is with trading. Traders use various indicators and trackers to execute perfect trades. If you have multiple screens, you can keep track of various indicators at the same time. This in turn helps you be more accurate and successful as you trade.

It Takes Up A Lot Of Space

If you think about it, 6 monitors are actually a lot of screens. If you don’t manage your space well, you’re indeed going to have a tough time setting up such a set up. The good news is that there are various accessories and tools that will help you set up the rig much better.

The most common tool used to set up a multi-screen setup are monitor arms.
These can be installed on walls or via a stand. This will allow you to stack monitors on top of one another instead of just having them scattered across one side of your table. This is a more practical and perfect way of organising the setup.

All PCs Can Do It

Sadly, no. Not every PC can run a multi screen setup properly. In truth, most PCs will have no trouble running multiple screens. However, if the CPU isn’t powerful enough, then you can’t use or run multiple apps at the same time which sort of defeats the purpose of having a multi-screen setup.

If you want to get the most out of your multi-screen setup, you’re going to have to have a powerful PC. One that’s fit for gaming or editing should not have any troubles running a multi-screen setup. The more powerful your PC is, the more practical you can be with your multi-screen setup as well.

It’s Hard To Set Up

What many people don’t know is that it’s actually very easy to set up multiple screens on one PC. In fact, all you need to do is to make a few clicks and it will start running smoothly. You don’t need any programs or apps to do it. All you need is a PC, your screens, and some monitor arms to keep the rig running.

You can do it on your own is what we’re getting at. If you’re still having trouble, you can go online and check on YouTube for some tips on how to set it up properly. You can set up the screens and your PC in one day. You don’t need to have a deep knowledge of PC and technology to be able to do it at home.

A 6-monitor setup might sound excessive but if it helps you get the job done, is it really excessive? It can be cheap if you want to, it can be simple, and it’s very practical. Investing in such a rig is going to do you good so it’s worth the expense. At the end of the day, if it makes you happy, then it’s a rig that you shouldn’t hesitate getting.
