Apple today released the fourth beta of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 for developers and volunteer testers. The new test version follows the distribution of Beta 4 for two weeks. Developers can now download and install the fifth beta.
Today, Monday, Apple is releasing iOS 14.
5 and iPadOS 14.5 Beta 4 for registered developers and volunteer testers as a public beta.
As usual, the beta update can be downloaded and installed directly on the iPhone or iPad via the software update item in the settings under General. If you haven’t received the beta update yet, wait a moment.
As usual, the new beta will be distributed in several waves to all registered developers and volunteer testers. Beta 4 of iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5 will be distributed for two weeks over the distribution of the previous test version.
In order to start the installation, the appropriate profile must be available on the iPhone or iPad.
Some new features in iOS 14.5
Apple brings various innovations with the upcoming update of iOS to version 14.5. For the first time, users can unlock their iPhone with Face ID under a mask, at least with an unlocked Apple Watch and installed watchOS 7.4 on the wrist. Furthermore, users can now tell Siri which music service they prefer to play back songs.
Various improvements have also been made to the Apple Maps app.
