Apple releases watchOS 7.3.2 on your Apple Watch

Apple has released a minor update to your Apple Watch. WatchOS 7.3.2 fixes a serious vulnerability in the smartwatch that allows malicious code to run via Safari – and that’s actually all the update does.

This is a memory bug in WebKit which is the rendering engine for the Safari browser. Through it, specially prepared websites can run malicious code on your devices, which of course is not desirable.

Apple has updated iOS, iPadOS and macOS with exactly the same security fix as WebKit is available on all devices. A small but very serious vulnerability that you can read more about here.

At the time of writing, there is nothing to suggest that watchOS 7.

3.2 would be problematic for users. Therefore, we recommend that you install it as soon as possible to secure your Apple Watch.

Remember that you must have a battery charge of at least 50 percent and that the smartwatch must be on the charger when you update the software.
