Had one hoped that Baldur’s Gate 3 would be released this year or next year, we can unfortunately announce that it may take even longer, nothing has been nailed down.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 and we have never really got a release date for the game, and it seems to remain so.
Larians founder Swen Wicke tells in one interview with gamespot that they will definitely not be finished with Baldur’s Gate 3 this year and if they were to be finished in 2022, they would be happy, but there are no guarantees that the game will be finished then either.
If you want to be on the safe side or not be disappointed, you should probably aim for a launch in 2023 sometime and once it is released, it will probably maintain a high quality.
