Microsoft recently announced that several major games from Bethesda will support FPS Boost on Xbox Series X / S. These include Fallout 4, Fallout 76 and Skyrim. Dishonored: Definitive Edition and Prey also receive the same support.
The news came during a live broadcast on YouTube on Friday where Xbox profile Larry ‘Hryb’ Nelson revealed Microsoft’s plans. Jeff Rubenstein also participated in the live broadcast and they discussed, among other things, the benefits that Series X / S can give to the old games from Bethesda.

The advantage of FPS Boost is that frame rate (Frames Per Second), or just short FPS, increases from 30 to 60 fps. It provides a much softer and more pleasant slide show, which mainly in FPS games (First Person Shooter) gives a big boost to the player.
Where the Xbox One series sometimes had to struggle to even keep a stable 30 fps, the Xbox Series X / S has no problem pushing that figure up to 60 fps instead. And FPS Boost is a great way to breathe new life into old games that previously needed modding for the same effect.
In total, 16 out of 20 games from Bethesda will be available on Xbox via Xbox Game Pass. This is the result of Microsoft’s acquisition of the game studio and its recent approval by both US and European authorities.
