Apple confirms that hackers managed to exploit a vulnerability in older versions of iOS to jailbreak iPhones. The bug could be used until January, but Apple sealed the vulnerability with iOS 14.4.

If you have an iPhone with iOS 11 up to 14.3, you can use the hacker tool Unc0ver to jailbreak your mobile phone. It gives you access to many features and solutions that normally cannot be used with Apple’s many limitations.
Unc0ver uses a vulnerability at the core of iOS to jailbreak the operating system. The bug in question has the CVE number CVE-2021-1782 and it was fixed with iOS 14.4.
The vulnerability allowed Unc0ver to bypass security restrictions and grant code elevated privileges in iOS. This allows Apple’s security measures to be shut down and, at least according to the developers of Unc0ver, without compromising security in its entirety.
Unc0ver preserves security layers designed to protect your personal information and your iOS device by adjusting them as necessary instead of removing them.
For it to work, you have to use Unc0ver 6.0.0 or later. At the time of writing, version 6.0.1 is the latest version for iOS 11 to 14.3.
The problem with Unc0ver is that the vulnerability is both critical and confirmed used by other hackers.
This means that you expose your mobile phone to risks, regardless of whether you use Unc0ver or not (if you do not update to iOS 14.
