Huawei Band 6 has a large, bright AMOLED screen

Huawei Band 6 stands out from its predecessor Band 5 with a 50 percent larger screen called FullView. It is now a full 1.47 inches and of the AMOLED type. This means that the screen is sharp, colorful and has good brightness.

Huawei uses FullView screens in several of the company’s products. The name indicates that the display ratio is so large that most of the front is screen. With the Huawei Band 6, the screen ratio is 64 percent, which is 148 percent larger than other, previous training bracelets in the Huawei Band series.

The website Android Authority has reviewed Huawei Band 6 and writes the following on its website.

The screen and hardware of the Huawei Band 6 are excellent. The 1.47-inch AMOLED screen is sharp, bright and much better than the screen in the Fitbit Charge 4. The space is large and I do not miss a larger screen when I use it. I think Huawei has found gold here – Huawei Band 6 has the perfect form factor for a training bracelet. ”

Under the screen is a large battery. You can get up to two weeks of use on one charge. With a five-minute fast charge, you get a full two days of use.

Huawei Band 6 uses several types of sensors to measure and monitor your health.

Among other things, there is a heart rate monitor that measures your heart rate. There is also an accelerometer that keeps track of how fast you move. In addition, Huawei Band 6 can tell you how well you sleep at night, if you experience stress and how oxygen saturation is in the blood.

Huawei Band 6 has the latest heart rate monitor technology in TruSeen 4.0

Huawei Band 6 uses Huawei TruSeen 4.0 which is a heart rate monitor technology for accurate measurement of your heart rate. You get real-time measurements throughout the day and at night. If your heart rate is measured at abnormal levels, both low and high, you will receive a warning directly on your wrist or in your mobile phone.

There are a total of 96 different training modes so you can always set your Band 6 to measure correctly when you are active.

The sleep measurement is done using a technology called Huawei TruSleep 2.0.

It is not a special hardware, but so-called algorithms in the software that use the various sensors in Band 6 to understand how good or bad you sleep. When you use the training bracelet at night, for example, heart rate and movement data are saved, which you then see in the Huawei Health app on your mobile.

It helps you understand when at night you move the most and how heavily you actually sleep.

Measurement of oxygen saturation in the blood is done continuously during the day at 30-minute intervals. You can change the measurement to be less frequent if you prefer longer battery life. Or completely turn off the measurement if you have no use for that health data.

Huawei Band 6 is good for training – less good as a smartwatch

A challenge for Huawei Band 6 is that it is a training bracelet that tries to be a smartwatch.

Admittedly, you can see incoming calls to your mobile phone and receive notifications from, for example, Gmail and Facebook / Messenger on the screen. But you have few choices when it comes to answering them. And notifications can not be expanded so you can read everything directly on the screen.

The home screen is also limited with a few dials to choose from.

This is primarily a training bracelet and you should keep that in mind when obtaining it. If you want something more competent for notifications, it is a real smartwatch or a training watch that applies.

That’s how much the Huawei Band 6 costs

The recommended approximate price for Band 6 is SEK 690. According to the price comparison service Prisjakt has the lowest price so far has been SEK 540.
