The new MacBook Pro 2021 14-inch and MacBook Pro 2021 16-inch laptops are the most powerful laptops ever, thanks to the new M1 Pro and M1 Max. These chips offer upgrades to last year’s M1. Apple wants chips, especially the M1 Max, to rival or surpass GPUs from AMD and Nvidia.
The M1 Max’s 32 GPU cores are quite impressive. As WCCFTech reported, YouTube users like Vadim Yuryev provided the M1 Max figures and said the chip could deliver 10.40 Teraflops performance compared to PS5’s 10.28. The Radeon RX Vega 56 (10.5 teraflops) and GeForce RTX 2080 (10 teraflops) are also included in this list. And for our benchmark testing of the MacBook Pro 2021, both M1 Pro and M1 Max-equipped devices have both achieved amazing results.

While the M1 Max is truly powerful, that doesn’t mean the MacBook Pro full chip is just a gaming laptop either. That does not mean that there is no power. The MacBook Pro or future device with the M1 Max can be a solid playground. Unfortunately, there are two key barriers to that.

Where are the macOS Games?
The first thing that prevents the MacBook Pro from becoming an active playground is the lack of important Mac titles. Fortnight, Hades and Disco Elysium are strong titles, but where are the Grand Theft Autos, Assassin’s Creeds or Witches? You can find them on Steam, GoG and game consoles but you won’t find them on macOS.

Only four topics in this list have Mac support. That’s fine, but it’s not a new game. Team Fortress was released in 2007 while Dota2 and Rust were released in 2013. Hit Steam games like Resident Evil Village, Hitman 3 and Mass Effect Legendary Edition are not available on Mac. You can have a program like Parallels run Windows on Mac, but it is not as strong as getting native Mac support.
The PRICE!
Even though the Mac was rich in AAA and indie games, one obstacle that you might have to face is the fact that the multiplayer arena is a bit pricey. But price does not seem much when you get to enjoy the amazing gaming experience. The $ 3,299 MacBook Pro decorated with chip M1 Max pill is hard to swallow, but it will surely pay you well.. The 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $ 3,499 with the M1 Max. Windows powered portable computer games cost less. For example, you can get an Alienware M15 R4 gaming laptop with 10th gen Intel Core i7, Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU, 32GB of RAM and 1TB storage for $ 2,609. The 17-inch MSI GE76 Raider with RTX 3080, 300 Hz refresh rate and 1TB storage go up to $ 3,099, although more expensive and powerful settings are available.
If you are a professional artist or 3D photographer, then the price of the new MacBook Pros is justified. If you are a player with that kind of money, it is better to buy a gaming laptop or desktop.
Reality check
Games can be made on new MacBook Pros. Both the M1 Pro and M1 Max are more than capable of delivering high-quality graphics and smooth operation. But for now, the lack of AAA titles does not excuse the price of Apple’s new laptops. This could change in the future, especially if Apple invested enough money in developers to get major degrees in macOS.
