The creator of Money Heist 5, Alex Pina, said in a statement, “When we began to write Part 5 in the middle of the pandemic, we knew that we would have to create a sense of a season finale or series finale in every way we could. In the order to put The Gang on the ropes, we decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre. Volume 2 focuses more on the emotional state of the characters. Their sentimental map takes us on a journey that connects us directly with their departure.”
It features Boris Santos, José Alonso, Najwa Nimri, Jaime Lorente, Miguel Herrán, Esther Acebo, Rodrigo de la Serna, Darko Peri*, and Hovik Keuchkerian among others.
When will Money Heist season 5 air on Netflix?
It’s no secret that heists are often filled with twists and turns, and Money Heist’s final season is no exception. The first volume will be released on September 3, and the second volume will be released on December 3, 2021.
ALex Pina, creator of the show, explained the reasoning behind this in an official statement:

“As we wrote Part 5 during the pandemic, we felt we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season and used every tool we had at our disposal to create the sensation of a series finale or season finale in the first volume.”. the order to put The Gang on the ropes, we decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre. In a press release, the series creator Álex Pina said this about Money Heist: Part 5:

We put more emphasis on the emotional circumstances faced by the characters in Volume 2. Their sentimental map takes us on a journey that connects us directly with their departure.”
The official synopsis for Money Heist: Part 5 reveals a few things about the new season:
“Over 100 hours have passed since the gang has been locked up at the Bank of Spain. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan. Then, just when everything looks to be going well, the army arrives on the scene. “What began as an act of robbery will soon turn into a war, and it will be the culmination of the greatest heist in history.”
