Researcher and pediatrician Jonas Ludvigsson’s study on children and covid-19 clearly showed that the risk of children suffering from severe variants of the disease condition is very small. Then the threats began to come.
One research study conducted at Karolinska Institutet investigated how many children were intensively cared for in Sweden between March and June last year on the basis of the Public Health Agency’s figures. A total of 15 children between the ages of 1 and 16 with covid-19 or so-called multi-inflammatory syndrome are linked to covid-19.
Four of the children had underlying diseases and none of them died within two months after intensive care. Four of the 15 children were cared for on a respirator. The average length of care was four days.
