New year, new iPhone (which was admittedly released in 2020) and a new way to take screenshots, right? No, just like the iPhone 12 in general, everything is actually very similar here as well.
If you come from one iPhone with the home button, you have probably already come to the realization that the classic approach home button + side button no longer works when it comes to taking screenshots iPhone 12. Especially since the home button no longer exists.
Apple has, however, not rearranged too much, but a similar key combination is still available to use the function. A button combination that is also exactly the same as with previously homeless buttons iPhonemodels.
Take a screenshot on iPhone 12 (+ Pro and mini)
The following procedure for taking a screenshot, print screen, screenshot (or whatever you choose to call it) works on iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro (Max) and iPhone 12 mini and earlier iPhonemodels without home button.
1. Start by navigating to what you want to take a screenshot of.
2. When you have the correct subject on the screen, press down at the same time side button (right side) and volume up button (left side). Then release both buttons.
3. The screen now flashes to indicate that a screenshot has been taken. The new image also appears in the form of a thumbnail, at the bottom left of the screen. If you point to this, you get the opportunity to directly add text or crop the image. If you are satisfied with the image as it is, swipe off the thumbnail to the left, or wait a few seconds after which it disappears by itself.
4. The captured image is automatically saved below Screenshots in The Photos app.
