Apple just released a small update for macOS Big Sur 11.2. It fixes a bug that predominantly occurs on some older MacBook Pro models and therefore only affects a few users.
Apple released a small update for the Mac this evening.
macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 can now be downloaded and installed by users. The update can be initiated as usual via the software update item in the system settings.
macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 will be distributed to all users approximately one week after macOS Big Sur 11.2 is released.
New update fixes a problem with charging MacBook Pro models
The just released update to macOS Big Sur 11.2.1 fixes an issue that could cause a MacBook Pro to not charge.
As Apple explains in the update notes, this mainly occurred on the MacBook Pro from 2016 and 2017. The previously published update to macOS Big Sur 11.2 was supposed to solve the existing problems with the use of external screens, but that didn’t work, as we did in a further message had reported.
Hopefully this bug will be fixed in the upcoming update to macOS Big Sur 11.3, which is currently in beta. It also brings the full stereo pair support the HomePod on the Mac.
