Continued support for Windows 10 after the launch of Windows 11

Windows 10 is by far the most popular operating system for both laptops and desktops today. After Windows 7 has slowly decreased in number of active devices, Windows 10 tops the lists by a good margin, and Microsoft is of course very aware of that.

Therefore, it is probably no one who is surprised that Microsoft does not intend to pull the plug from Windows 10 as soon as Windows 11 has been released and matured on the market.

In a blog post on its official website, Microsoft says that “although we are excited about the next generation of Windows with Windows 11, we are also focused on supporting the 1.3 billion monthly, active devices with Windows 10”.

Do not forget that Windows 10 21H2 is on its way

It is unclear why Microsoft feels they need to clarify the fact that they intend to continue supporting Windows 10 in the future.

And Microsoft does not want us to forget about the upcoming 21H2 update for Windows 10.

In the blog post, Microsoft writes that “Windows continues to play an important role in people’s lives when they work, learn and have fun […]. Our goal is to provide new features and solutions through a fast and reliable updating experience. ”

Windows 10 21H2 is not the most innovative update released to the operating system. And hardly the most interesting. But it contains a large amount of bug fixes and other quality solutions that make life a little better for those who stay with Windows 10.
